The internet has been buzzing with this vintage interview clip of Tom Waits on the Australian talk-show called On The Nickle, from 1979. It seems to show a possible inspiration behind the creation of Heath Ledger’s iconic Joker, from the The Dark Knight. The key imitation being the voice of Waits. But of course with Ledger not being around anymore, and also never getting the chance to explain his character development, we’ll never no for sure.
