Last night's Oscars were pretty damn good, in terms of spreading the awards love around, although I wasn't too impressed with Seth MacFarlene's hosting abilities. Jokes ranged from snappy to slow, lame to offensive but never quite leaving the impact previous hosts have had. His opening monologue involved a laborious star trek  themed skit with William Shatner, who let's face it nobody wants to see.
